Hi everyone, welcome back. After the coloring challenge, I needed a short pause to get my creative stamina back. I’m very lucky to be able to have the time to craft, but also have the time to step away. I wanted to share this card I made for a coworker. It feels like after all this coloring, I forgot how to use layering stamp sets!
I know this coworker loves dahlias, and lucky for me I have the wonderful Altenew Dahlia Blossoms set. I found some images of dahlias online with this stark contrast between a dark eggplant to a blush pink. I wanted to replicate that in my floral arrangement.
For the background of this card I used Brutus Monroe 6X6 Watercolor Background as well as splatters with Brutus Monroe Aqua Pigment in Pearl. I wanted to balance between the high contrast of the flowers and a soft texture of the background. For my sentiment I used one of my most well loved sentiment sets, Altenew More Than Words.
Nothing too hard here. Just something light so I can say I created this week and I’m happy with the result. I should have my Brutus Monroe Guest Design post uploaded soon so please stay tuned for that. I hope you all are having a lovely week…and stay tuned for some VERY exciting news soon.
