Anything Goes! – Brutus Monroe March Blog Hop.

Hi everyone! I’m so glad the Brutus Monroe Guest Designers for March have joined the B|M Inspiration Team for their blog hop. It’s so great to be in VERY talented company! Our theme is “Anything Goes” with our Brutus Monroe materials. So let’s get to the card!

The stamp set I used for this card is the Brutus Monroe Botanical Banners. I love making floral arrangement cards so having this stamp was an essential for my growing collection of Brutus Monroe materials.

The first thing I did was dry embossed an A2 panel of Neenah Metallic cardstock with the B|M Jagged Heart stencil. I trimmed it down to be slightly less than a note card front and mounted my trimmed panel onto a foam sheet for dimension.

Next I gold heat embossed the main flower image twice on watercolor paper using the Brutus Monroe Ultra Fine Embossing Powder in Gilded. I did some water coloring on the floral arrangement using Windsor and Newton Potter’s Pink and Davy’s Grey. I didn’t try too hard to make it super accurate. I wanted a loose feel to these flowers and leaves.

I enjoy rearranging floral stamped images. It’s almost like customizing your own bouquet. So once I colored both heat embossed images, I started the process of cutting all the flowers and leaves. I kept them in clusters–a flower to a cluster of leaves–if I could while cutting.

Once I had my pieces cut, I arranged them to fit on my card front on top of my dry embossed panel. I try to keep my arrangement in a triangular shape with an odd number of elements. I added one of the banners to my card and stamped it in a pale green ink. To embellish this card I used Nuvo Crystal Drops in White.

What do you think of this floral arrangement? Let me know by leaving a comment below! If you would like to see more of my creations I’m on Instagram (@jaycee.gaspar) and I would love to hear from you!

Your next stop is LUISANA!

I really appreciate you stopping by and I hope you have the best day!
