Hi everyone, welcome back and happy Friday! I hope you all got a chance to see the card I made for the Brutus Monroe blog hop. It was my first blog hop and I was thrilled to be able to join some amazing people. While I was making that card for the hop I ended up with one extra flower that didn’t end up on the final project. I didn’t want him to go to waste so I made a clean and simple card.
The flower is from the Brutus Monroe Botanical Banners set. It was a leftover piece from fussy cutting the main floral image. I loosely colored the flower with my Windsor Newton watercolors and gold heat embossed the image with B|M Ultrafine Embossing Powder in Gilded.
I did some light ink blending in a coordinating pink and green shade directly on my card base. I added a glitter panel using the Folkwave Stencil from B|M and Glitter Glaze in Unicorn Horn. I foam mounted and die cut this glitter panel using a circular die and adhered it on top of the ink blended area to make a shadowy haze around the flower.
I hope you all enjoy this card. It was actually the first time I used a stencil with some sort of texture paste. I hope to get a matte white version from Ranger to try out soon. I hope you all have a fantastic weekend, and thank you so much for stopping by!
