Hi everyone, welcome back! I’m so excited to join Altenew for the July 2019 Build-a-Flower: Camellia japonica Release and Blog Hop! Thanks so much to the Altenew Scrapbook Blog for relaying you over to my blog. If you get lost along the way or want to relive the amazing inspiration from the team of designers for this release, head back over to the Altenew Card Blog to find the complete blog list.
I hope you enjoyed my video! If you try to make a crystal flower inspired card arrangement, make sure you share your projects with me over on IG (@jaycee.gaspar)! I would love to see it!
I have more projects to share after these next few images, so stay tuned!
Build-a-Flower Monthly Subscription
As mentioned in the video, this is a monthly subscription plan for our Build-A-Flower (BAF) set (ALT). When signed up, you are guaranteed a spot in the monthly BAF releases and will receive a set each month – at a specially discounted price! ($35.00 → $29.99)
I love using the Crisp Dye Inks from Altenew; the Cherry Blossom and Green Fields ink bundles pair wonderfully with this flower. This Build-A-Flower: Camellia japonica & Ink Bundle (ALT) is at a special 5% discount!
Surprise! I made another card featuring this wonderful set. I did the same ink blending technique on the flowers, but only on the A1 layer using one ink cube. I paired the arrangement with a gold ombré background on watercolor paper.
Giveaway!
To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $30 gift certificate to 6 lucky winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog and/or Altenew Scrapbook Blog for a chance to win.
Team Altenew will also draw a winner to receive a $15 gift certificate from the comments left on each designer’s blog on the blog hop list below. All winners will be announced on the Altenew blogs on 7/7/2019.
Thank You!
I really appreciate you stopping by and participating in this blog hop. Thank you so much to Team Altenew for the invitation to guest design. The colors are gorgeous, but the real difference was when you added the embossing powder on top, it just made the flowers come to life. The cards came out beautiful. Thanks for sharing your inspiration process.

EGADS!!!! I’ve never seen anyone use a swivel knife to fussy cut and my mind is blown! I hate fussy cutting with scissors, so i must find a swivel knife to buy and try this technique. Loooove the gradient of colour from blue to pink!
