July 2019 Stamp/Die Release Inspiration Guide |
I have been waiting for the right moment to share my coloring process for floral coloring. This Altenew – Pen Sketched Flowers (ALT) stamp set is so easy to learn from as the flowers are not too complex, the images are nicely sized, and the variety of floral arrangements is limitless. Thank you for being patient for this highly requested video!
As always, if you have any questions about this style of coloring or want to share you project with me, please do not hesitate to DM me over on IG (@jaycee.gaspar) or on the comments below. If you leave a comment during the giveaway period listed below, you will be entered to win a giftcard to the Altenew online store! More on that in a sec.
I did a few iterations using Altenew – Pen Sketched Flowers (ALT). Above is the card process you saw in the video. I also used other stamp and die sets included in this release. Below are all the Altenew materials I used on this card.
Pen Sketched Flower Stamp Set |
Altenew Artist Markers Set A |
Altenew Artist Markers Set B |
Stamping Mat |
Jet Black Ink Spray |
Geometric Frames Die Set |
Crystal Frames Bundle |

Here is the no-outline coloring version of the larger pair of pen sketched flowers. I also framed the sentiment from Altenew – Pen Sketched Flowers with Altenew – Crystal Frames Stamp and Die Set (ALT).

You can also opt for clean, simple, and one layer with some simple masking with the coordinating dies*. I paired this card with the sentiment from the Altenew – Graphic Brushstrokes Stamp Set (ALT).

Speaking of Altenew – Graphic Brushstrokes Stamp Set (ALT), the illustration style of this background stamp reminded me of a koi fish. So here’s a hopeful card inspired by the symbolic carp. I also included the Altenew – Mega Hope Die (ALT) on this project.

Mega Hope Die |
Sentiment Strips Stamp Set |
Something about the Altenew – Geometric Frames (ALT) die set inspired this geode card. Maybe it’s the facets of the shape…but either way, using all three of the larger dies made for a very fun and playful geode card with foil detail. In order to balance the multifaceted shapes, I added the rectangular sentiments from Altenew – Label Love (ALT).

Label Love Stamp |
Jet Black Ink Spray |
For my final project, I used the lovely Altenew – Sunflower Daisy (ALT) Bundle and paired it with the new Altenew – Something Wonderful (ALT) stamp set.

So many gorgeous examples!! My favorite is your geode card. My mother collected many rocks over the years. I kept several of them for my own garden after she passed. Seeing your card reminded me of her and her love of rocks!!

I did not know if I liked the brush stroke set. But the last few blog hops are changing my mind with such creative works. I don’t like the brush pen stroke lines so much. But your example of no line was outstanding.
