I’ve said this many times before, if it wasn’t for your lovely comments, questions, and suggestions over on my my YouTube Channel, Instagram, or here on my blog, I would struggle to come up with content. At the same time, I’m grateful that you all are so patient when it comes to the delivery my videos. I was really excited for this release in particular because I saw it as the perfect time to film a tutorial on my most requested video topic: the Golden Ratio.

Here’s the final card from the video. Like I said in the video, I’ve got a freebie for you all. This isn’t an Altenew product nor is it affiliated with the Altenew brand. I made it myself for you all to use if you wish. If you do use the A2 Golden Ratio Template, please make sure you share your projects with me over on Instagram (@jaycee.gaspar). I would love to see what you made.

The floral images from Altenew – Wavy Roses (ALT) reminded me of the Japanese clouds found in Edo Period woodblock prints. I went along with the color palette and Japanese theme and paired this image with Altenew – Ori Kami (ALT).

One of the things I’ve always admired about the Altenew brand is the committment to diversity and culture–their products range from Eid to Label Love in many languages. These Altenew – Polish Papercuts 3D Dies (ALT) are reminiscent of Wycinaki and are the stand-alone version to the Altenew – Wonderful Wycinaki (ALT). After learning about this exciting symmetrical Polish paper craft, I came up with this layered piece.

I used a similar technique from my Crystal Flowers (YouTube) video to make this floral arrangement. I used a sponge blending tool to lightly diffuse a magenta ink on the tips of the petals before stamping the rest of the Altenew – Playful Plumeria (ALT) layering image in a yellow family of inks.

  2. Your card designs never cease to amaze me! I have printed out the grid, and will definitely be trying out your new design theory on my next cards as soon as my new stamps arrive in the mail. This lotus card is gorgeous! Thanks for your ongoing inspiration, Jaycee!

  3. Your cards are really beautiful. I really love the dark/white combo of the Wonderful Wycinaki card you made. It’s simple, effective, and very pretty. I’m really wanting that set now. Hungary has a similar style of colourful embroidery, and this could so easily be used for that as well
