I revisited a card I made about a year ago when I first opened my Instagram account (@jaycee.gaspar). Since then I have learned a lot (I mean A LOT) about card making and have been inspired by so many of you. As far as my supplies go, I also have much more than I could ever imagine and I am grateful for the opportunity that many companies in the paper craft community have given me. So here it goes, a year later I want to make a card still true to my vibe but with a new twist. Below is a video over on my channel featuring the 2×3 Altenew – Mini Moon Stamp and Die Set (ALT).

Are you all feeling extra psychic after seeing this card? I will definitely be making more of these moon phase cards for my card stash. The most exciting thing is it came from a mini stamp set. Never underestimate the impact of a tiny stamp! Now let’s get on with the rest of the release! Below are all the materials I used on this card.

I probably say this every time, but this release has become my new favorite. For some reason, I was having a black moment with all my cards. Something about these Mariposas from Altenew – Mix & Match Mariposas Die Set screamed black butterflies (ALT). I love the sleek and boutique feel of this card and I paired it with a sentiment from Altenew – Stone Mosaic Stamp Set (ALT).

Speaking of boutique cards, I used the Mariposa again and paired it with Altenew – Glitter Flurries Washi Tape and the new Handwritten Hello Die Set (ALT). This Altenew – Handwritten Hello Die Set is a finely cut die with a drop shadow accompanying die; perfect for distracting backgrounds such as the one above (ALT). I wish I had more ‘Hello’ sentiments as they fit numerous occasions for your recipient.

These two cards were made with the Altenew – Stone Mosaic Stamp Set (ALT). This is a layering set that makes this speckled image, perfect for backgrounds or showcasing your own personal touch. The images are really easy to line up and the complete layered image is continuous, so I was able to make a full A2 background. The first card (black) was made using the negative space, I told you I was having a black moment with this release and decided for a monochrome card. I paired the new stamp set with Altenew – Fine Frames Rectangle Die Set and Fine Alphabet Die Set (ALT).

For the second card, I stamped the positive images in blue and grey inks. I added in the hand drawn flowers with a fine tipped pen. I made sure that while drawing in these flowers, that they did not overlap the positive images of the Stone Mosaic. True story, I almost gave up on this card, but I realized the beauty comes in the pattern and consistency. What would you all draw in between these speckled images?

Okay real talk, I can’t resist a beautiful floral stamp set. Altenew – Poppy Garden is no exception (ALT). This illustration should look very familiar to you all as Altenew – Flower Garden is the same style from the September 2019 Release (ALT). So that’s what I did with this card, I paired the poppies with the flower images and colored them using Altenew Artist Markers (ALT).

  1. All of your cards are absolutely fantastic! What an array of different formats. I really like the card with the black butterflies, as the combo of black and white ā€” so clean and simple, and this card can be used for different occasions.

  2. I think the Black Moment is due to it being Scorpio season but look at how awesome those black butterflies are man! I love all of your black cards and I can’t believe you drew those flowers, I thought that was a background stamp and I do remember that moon phase card from last year too. You’re truly amazing Jaycee.

  4. Very eye-catching cards. I really like the card with the black butterflies and the black splatters which is a rich looking card. Black and white cards are so striking. I also like the variety of cards that you made. The moon phase card is quite unique.
