Paint-a-Flower: Daffodil |
I’m loving the Paint-a-Flower releases from Altenew. I think every monthly release I participated in featured some sort of watercolor technique on stretched watercolor paper. However one of the challenges I encountered with stamping on stretched watercolor is getting a clean impression like the one you would get with a stamp positioning tool. After many failures, the one successful technique I tried using a hinged stamp positioning tool in an unconventional way–spoiler alert: it worked.

I am mesmerized by the process for creating your lovely project. Your work is always drop dead gorgeous and I love your videos they are inspiring and I always learn something. This time it was the clever way you used the Misti and how you used a stamped version to help you line up the project – so out of the box thinking. I am always in awe of your thought process and artistic ability. Thank you for inspiring and giving joy!

This is a card you could give to men or women which is great. I’d not have thought to use just one colour, but it is a good exercise to do to learn colour value, as you stated.
