Hey everyone, welcome back! It’s the first of the month, which means I’m so excited to join Altenew for the brand new November 2020 Build-a-Flower: Hawaiian Coral (ALT) and Blog Hop! Thanks so much to the legendary Emily Midgett, for relaying you over to my blog. If you get lost along the way or want to relive the amazing inspiration from the team of designers for this release, head back over to the Altenew Card Blog or keep reading to find the complete blog list.
Build-a-Flower: Hawaiian Coral Release
For my floral arrangement using Hawaiian Coral layering stamp and die set, I meticulously spent the time to layer each image for a faux “no-outline coloring” image. I referenced Hawaiian Coral Peony images online and grabbed Altenew Crisp Inks as I needed them to add layers and dimension to the flowers and foliage.
I used a technique found on my Elements of Floral Composition Class over on Altenew Academy where I get diffused and ink blended layers for balanced floral arrangements. The final result gave me smooth transitions between stamp layers for a softer image–almost like I colored the flowers with watercolor or Altenew Artist Markers.
The finished floral arrangement sits on top of a panel of Spicy Yogurt Cardstock. I embellished the florals with a gold heat embossed sentiment banner. The sentiment comes from the BAF Hawaiian Coral Stamp Set. Finally, I added gold splatters from the 14 Metallic Watercolor Pan Set from Altenew and added coordinating Satin Gold sequins.
Altenew will also draw a winner to receive a $15 gift certificate from the comments left on each designer’s blog on the blog hop list below. All winners will be announced on the Altenew Winners Page on 10/09/2020.
I really appreciate you stopping by and participating in this blog hop. If you like what you’ve seen from me, please give me a follow over on my Instagram (@jaycee.gaspar) and/or subscribing to my blog and YouTube if you haven’t already.
