Hey everyone! It’s time for the November 2020 Stamp Release, which means I’m so excited to join Altenew for the brand new Twinkle & Shine Stamp & Die Release (ALT) and Blog Hop! Thanks so much to Jenny Colacicco for relaying you over to my blog. If you want to relive the amazing project ideas from the team of designers for this release, head back over to the Altenew Card Blog or keep reading to find the complete blog list. Don’t miss the wonderful giveaway opportunities as well–more on that down below!
Twinkle & Shine Release
This release was the first time I got to try out the Altenew embossing folders. I am no stranger to these amazing products and I love the quick and easy way to add texture to card fronts. Although this embossing folder is intricate and detailed (even with the light colored cardstock as shown above) the paper I was using was able to handle it beautifully. No cracks or rips on my cardstock. I paired the Perfect Poinsettia Embossing Folder with Poinsettia & Pine Stamp Set.
The next embossing folder I used was the Geo Steps Embossing Folder. I let the background shine on some Spicy Yogurt Cardstock. I adhered layers of the Waterbrush Hello Die and die cut some Mix & Match Mariposa for this clean and simple textured card.
I was having a moment with the Jewel Tone Cardstock Sampler from Altenew. I used the blush cardstock to coordinate with a die cut Mandala. I cut a panel of Enjoy the Ride 6X6 paper using the Delicate Mandala Die. Then I paired the Pen Sketched Flowers and Pen Sketched Silhouette for another bold floral palette.
Here is another card where I was playing around with texture using the Sparkled Stamp and Die Set. I used Platinum Crisp Embossing Powder to “layer” the flower images and leaves. After arranging the floral elements, I heat embossed the sentiment onto some gold mirror cardstock and added gold splatters and sequins to embellish the card.
I used the Cartoon Rose Stamp and Die Bundle to create this card inspired by Sailor Jerry Traditional American tattoos. If this layered floral image is familiar to you, it is similar to the Craft-a-Flower: Rose Layering Die Set. I also used the new Altenew Fine Liner Set to add speckled details to the flowers as if they were really tattooed.
This last project isn’t a card, but is a wonderful new organizational tool to help identify your mini ink cubes. I am a pretty clean crafter, I don’t work well in a messy space. The challenge with the mini ink cubes is the bottom portion of the ink is not labeled. If you take the lids off of multiple ink pads at once, you may not be able to replace the correct lid onto the corresponding ink pad. These labels wrap perfectly around the ink pad portion of your Crisp Inks, so now there is no mistaking which lid belongs to which ink pad.

All of your cards are simply stunning JC! Thanks for the inspiration and thanks for the work you do in healthcare. Because of Covid and my high risk status, I just retired from 41 years in the field. We truly appreciate all the work you do, both in your “career” job and your crafting job!
