Altenew Educators “Favorite Old/New Altenew Stamp” Blog Hop and Linky Party + Giveaway

Hey everyone! It’s Jaycee and I’m excited to join Altenew as an Educator for this Blog Hop! The card theme for this hop is “Favorite Old/New Altenew Stamp.” Thanks so much to Fiona Duff for relaying you over to my blog. If you want to relive the amazing project ideas from the team of educators for this hop, head back over to the Altenew Card Blog or keep reading to find the complete blog list. Don’t miss the wonderful giveaway opportunities as well–more on that down below!

Altenew Educator Certification Program

I feel very fortunate to be part of this blog hop because shortly after becoming part of the AECP group, I joined Altenew as part of their Video Inspiration Team. My role is to create content for their YouTube Channel. I have my own series on their channel called “Perfect Pairings with Jaycee” where I make paper crafting tutorials focused on the theme of Old and New–just like the theme of this blog hop!

The video above is my latest installment of the Perfect Pairings with Jaycee series. I show you how I pair old Altenew favorites in your stash and make a card with newer released items. I use techniques that you may already be familiar with and show how to create modern cards.

I picked two of my favorite (at the moment) floral stamps that I thought would work well together. Nature Blossoms and Garden Treasure Stamp and Die Sets do not have matching layering styles necessarily. I opted to color them with alcohol based markers so that they looked more cohesive.

I found this color palette online and I wanted to try it out on this old/new pairing. After coloring the flowers, I arranged the elements on my white card front. I made a quick background using Leaf Clusters Stamp Set and placed my flowers and sentiment on top.
