Hey everyone! It’s time for the October 2021 Stamp Release, which means I’m so excited to join Altenew for the brand new Rustic Charm Stamp Collection (ALT) and Blog Hop! Thanks so much to Norine Borys at the Altenew Card Blog for relaying you over to my blog. If you want to relive the amazing project ideas from the team of designers for this release, head back over to the Altenew Card Blog or keep reading to find the complete blog list. Don’t miss the wonderful giveaway opportunities as well–more on that down below!

Rustic Charm Collection

Geometric Rainbow

Instead of choosing one color palette with the Shattered Cubes Builder Stencil, I used the entire rainbow. This layering geometric stencil has become one of my favorites because of its ease of use and endless combinations. I found myself staring at the layering examples found on the packaging. You can leave some layers blank for a background that begs to be in the foreground.

Rustic Baubles

I made this very simple scene with the Lovely Ornaments Stamp and Die Bundle. I designed this scene around my idea of a ‘rustic holiday.’ I thought of Colorado cabins and incorporated the Western color palette into my card. For a sophisticated touch, I used glossy black and gold cardstock to add shine to my baubles.

Sassy Snowy Scene

Building on my previous card, I was thinking of the Colorado Gold Rush. I used gold pigment ink, gold cardstock, gold vellum, and gold metallic watercolor to add beautiful highlights everywhere. It should come as no surprise that the Layered Snowflakes 3D Embossing Folder is a perfect match for the Layered Snowflakes Die Set.

Dreamy Dome

My favorite of all the crafty goodies in the Rustic Charm Collection is the Globe Builder Die Set. Die cutting all the elements for my shaker card was a breeze. I added subtle elements like ink blending and bits of coloring to add dimension to my paper pieces. Tons of white splatter and Satin White Sequins really let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

  1. Awesome cards! I love the snow flake card! So fun and inspirational. I also love the poinsettia embossed card- a great idea on how to use one of my favorite embossing folders.

  2. Wow, every single card is a stunner. I love the use of thread on your snowflake card. I tried that once and my husband asked why I had a tangled string on my card.

  3. Love all your cards, but my favourites are the snowflakes (it’s such an elegant card) and the little snowman in the snow globe. He’s so sweet. Thank you Jaycee for your amazing inspiration ❤️
