Golden Aspen Leaves and Embossed White Bark

I recently went out to Breckenridge and Winter Park in Colorado. One of my favorite memories of being in the Colorado Rockies is the way the Aspen trees glimmer in autumn. I used the Tree Bark Botanical 3D Embossing Folder to make my aspen bark. Then I used the Craft-A-Flower: Antique Rose leaves to cut my golden aspen leaves. I finished the card with a die cut sentiment from the Craft Your Life Project Kit: Seasonal Blooms and gold sequins.

Hot Foiled Banners and Patterns

I used three of the new hot foil crafty items in this card. I started with the Tiny Patterns Hot Foil Plate Set to make a simple striped barcode background. I also used a hot foil solid plate to impress the negative impression on a second piece of cardstock.

Then I hot foiled the Sentiment Banners Hot Foil Plate and die cut the banners with the coordinating die. I also impressed the negative foil impression using the same solid hot foil plate and die cut those images.

Finally I die cut the Congrats Die Set from white and navy cardstock. I also stamped one of the sentiments from Sentiment Strips Stamp Set onto one of the hot foiled banners.

Hot Foiled Monochrome Mandala

Just like heat embossing, hot foil resists ink blending. You will still get beautifully vibrant inked images and shiny foil. I embellished the entire Sunburst Doily with sequins after ink blending the foiled panel with blue ink.

Opalescent Hot Foil Rose

For my final card I foiled the outline of Gilded Rose onto a panel of white cardstock. I used the coordinating detail layer stencils to ink blend a rainbow of colors around the rose. Of course, this card shines beautifully with the opalescent foil and ink blending.
