Vintage Tapestry Project Kit

Vintage beauty in a classic style! Create gorgeous vintage print-inspired projects using this Vintage Tapestry kit! This kit contains a beautiful 3-dimensional embossing folder, a 6×8 layering stamp set, a 4-piece layering stencil set, and a matching die set to cut all the pieces from the stamp set and the layering stencil set.

“Ming Dynasty Porcelain” Blue and White Card

For the card images you see here on my blog, I drew inspiration from another ‘vintage’ time. My initial impression with the Vintage Tapestry Bundle is the range of floral bouquets that can be made. My parent’s home is adorned with Chinese pottery. I thought the Vintage Tapestry motifs mimicked the repeating patterns found on the porcelain.

I ‘stamped’ the embossing folder onto a panel of white cardstock. I added coordinating blue splatters onto this background element. Using the Lapis Lazuli Crisp Dye Ink family, I stamped the layers of the flowers and supporting foliage.

The coordinating simple coloring stencil also contains additional images to supplement the bouquet. I love how they complement the stamped flowers for endless combinations. After die cutting and arranging the sentiment, I foam mounted some flowers and glued down the pieces to my background piece.

  2. Lol, I was going to say this reminded me of the vintage dishware my M.I.L. handed down to my husband and then I read your title. Spot on.

  3. I have some blue pottery as well. As I was scrolling down I was thinking that your card reminded me of the effect of blue and white pottery. A lovely card that also invokes a memory. Thanks!
