Build-a-Flower: Giant Bellflower

Let your imagination soar with stunning florals and heartfelt greetings in this unique layering stamp and die set. The florals in this set feature an artistic take on giant bellflowers, showcasing beautiful open petals on a cluster of three flowers. Want to experiment with color? We have added separate coloring layers for each individual flower so you can get creative with colors for your paper crafting projects.

Experimenting with Color – A Layered Floral Card

As indicated in the product description above, each flower has its own layering scheme. This way you can make a color spotlight or color each flower individually! I chose to color all my flowers the same way however, I experimented with color layering.

I found a color palette with yellow, peach, fuchsia, and evergreen. I used this color scheme to play with analogous colors and color value on the color wheel. Typically I would stamp using the single hue from the Altenew Crisp Ink family (ALT), ie Red Cosmos. Since I have all the Altenew Inks, I figured why not play with more color on these layering blooms?

How to Make This Card

1. On an A2 cream colored cardstock, add an array of fine black splatters from Jet Black Ink Spray.
2. Add a coordinating sentiment stamped in Permanent Black Ink on the splatter background.
3. Stamp the outline floral cluster twice onto another panel of the same cream colored cardstock in Permanent Black Ink.
4. From base to detailed layers for the flowers, I used Fresh Lemon>Rouge>Cosmic Berry. For the leaves, I used Evergreen>Green Onyx. See the supply list below for the exact color families from Altenew.
5. Die cut both stamped images and arrange on splattered background. Foam mount some floral elements with Instant Dimension Foam Tape.
6. Embellish with Essential Black & White Enamel Dots.
