Altenew Build-a-Garden: Magnificent Branch

Love genuinely, and bloom with grace. Create two card fronts at once with this first-of-its-kind floral stamp set! The imaginative set features a magnificent tree branch bearing flowers that you wouldn’t normally see together in nature. Cut the design just right for a card featuring the cupped rose and another card featuring the flat rose. Stamp the heartwarming sentiments and quotes to inspire your loved ones. We hope you love this stamp set as much as we do!

Crystalline and Kindness, Branched Rose Card

I was impressed by the scene combinations I could make from Build-A-Garden: Magnificent Branch. I love the dynamic and flowing illustration in this stamp set and how easily I could color the image, with or without the included stencil set.

I am fortunate to have purchased many of the Mini Ink Blending Brush Sets myself. I always rave about how much of a craft room staple they are for realistic blooms. I love that with the NEW Build-A-Garden Subscription, that you can build your collection of Mini Ink Blending Brushes.

I love the added shading lines in the main Build-A-Garden: Magnificent Branch image. They remind me of wood block prints. I wanted to showcase the majority of the outline image onto a single card scene and spotlight color the larger flower.

How to Make This Card

On an off-white cardstock panel, partially stamp the larger flower image in Permanent Black Crisp Ink.
Color the Build-A-Garden: Magnificent Branch flower using the Woodless Coloring Pencils. I used light strokes of primaries and secondaries for a light ‘prism’ look to the flower.
Color the branch and supporting leaves with Altenew Artist Markers. I used the Warm Grey Set B Bundle.
Carefully fussy cut the large flower, leaves, and branch image.
Stamp the second half of the Magnificent Branch image onto kraft-colored cardstock.
Use Instant Dimension Foam Tape to raise the colored flower and leaves.
Add Pure White and Jet Black Ink splatters to the entire background and flower.
Embellish the card with Essential Black Enamel Dots.
