May 2022 Lovely In Lace Release

Lovely In Lace Full Release Bundle

Glaucous Hosta

The greyish blue hostas immediately came to mind as I was making this Hosta 3D Embossing Folder Card. This card was so easy to make and I love the simple aesthetic of this card. Colored cardstocks are the secret to dynamic and easy to replicate letter press cards.

How To Make This Card

  1. Dry emboss a teal A2 panel of cardstock using the new Hosta 3D Embossing Folder.
  2. Without removing the embossed panel, use Sapphire Mixed Media Ink to add ink to the text side of the embossing folder (the debossing side). Press the ink into the embossing folder by running the panel through your embossing sandwich.
  3. Die cut the shadow layer from Pink Brilliance Glitter Cardstock Set. Assemble the Congrats Die Set sentiment and glue to the center of the Hosta panel.
  4. Embellish with Tropical Forest Enamel Dots and Pure White Ink Spray.

Shimmery Rainbow Tile Card

Like the previous card, making this rainbow starts with a bold background. Then I layered darker values of ink in the embossing folder to give this card texture and dimension. All I needed to do to finish this card was add the sentiment and embellishments.

How To Make Card

  1. Start with an A2 rainbow ink blended background. I used a select mix of my Altenew Crisp Ink collection.
  2. With the next values of ink used to make the rainbow blended panel, apply the ink with a Mini Ink Blending Tool to the text side (debossing side) of the Motif Tile 3D Embossing Folder. Press this ink into the rainbow blended panel.
  3. Die cut the word Smile using the Mighty Alphabet Die Set from Dazzling Diamond Glitter Cardstock.
  4. Embellish the card with Essential White Enamel Dots and Pure White Ink Spray.

Dynamic Cherry Plum Blossom Card

This card was the most labor intensive of the three cards I made for the Lovely In Lace Release. After meticulously placing color in each flower, I pained in the leaf and branch details. Then finally I used Obsidian Pigment Ink as my background to this dynamic and textured card.

How To Make This Card

  1. Start by dry embossing the Cherry Plum Blossom 3D Embossing Folder onto a panel of white cardstock.
  2. Apply light taps of Crimson Crisp Ink using a Mini Ink Blending Tool onto the debossing side of the embossing folder. Fill in the centers of every flower that will show up on the white embossed cardstock panel.
  3. Repeat the second step until adequate saturation of the flower centers is achieved.
  4. Lightly paint Winter Fog Watercolor Brush Marker onto the branches and leaves of the embossed panel.
  5. After the watercolor dries, apply Obsidian Pigment Ink over the entire text side of the embossing folder. Letter press the embossed panel. This should hide areas of unwanted ink outside of the embossed image.
  6. Add dots to the anthers of the blooms with the Must-Have Gel Pen Set.
  7. Add gold splatters from the Metallic Watercolor Pan Set.
  8. Finish with a sentiment from Endless Florescence Stamp Set.
