Pine Forest

The Pine Forest Layering Stencils coordinates with the Pine Forest 3D Embossing Folder. For my card, I used the layering stencil by itself in warm hues to make this dreamy amber scene inspired by the morning sun hitting the mountain slopes.

Botanical Illustrations

I am most inspired by two categories of art: botanical illustration and tattoos. I combined both of these ideas onto this card by focusing on a high amount of detail on the focal foliage and flower. Then I used a single tone to create value on this scene.

  1. Your forest trees immediately made me think of my hometown in the Pocono Mountains! I can do so many color mixes for that, including your pink & orange hues! Those misty mornings, and dewy evenings…ahhhh!

  2. Wow did you ever mail these pieces! The test tubes look real and that is not an easy task I have tried a few times. I love the two floral’s stunning coloring of the sunflowers. The neutral botanical is equally gorgeous I can’t figure out how you pulled that off. Beautiful job bravo.

  4. Stunning cards! I love the colors of your daisies. And the chemistry vases are great! And then the pine forest- I really like the creative use of those stencils and whimsical colors- my favorite! Thanks for all the inspiration.

  5. Hi Jaycee, you have been busy making all of these wonderful cards. My favorite is the colorful test tubes with the swirly colors. I am happy to see you on this hop.

  6. Brilliant! …using the paint pour papers to fill the beakers! And the tatoo-ish floral is reminiscent of the class you taught a while back. I loved exploring what the subtle blackening of lines could produce. Thanks for ALL your inspirations!
