With this entire release, I was having a monochrome/minimal moment. I’ve had requests for more masculine cards, and I thought this gold and grey color palette was perfect for this Altenew – Spheres & Spirals Stamp and Die Set. I die cut grey cardstock that was the same color as the card base using the coordinating die cuts. Then I gold heat embossed all the stamps onto the die cuts and arranged the images on my card base. I used the Altenew – Fine Frames Rectangle Die to cut a fine gold frame from some gold mirror cardstock and framed my white heat embossed sentiment onto light grey cardstock.

To go along with the monochrome theme, I paired the Altenew – Happy Birthday To You Stamp Set with the older Hennah Elements Stamp and Die Set. I repeat stamped and white heat embossed the Happy Birthday score down my red cardstock panel. Then I white heat embossed the Hennah Elements flower images and die cut them using the coordinating dies. I simply arranged the elements on top of my background for this bold red birthday card.

I always add a sentiment to the front of my cards. I was inspired by one stroke line drawings–where you illustrate an image and never lift your pen/pencil. For this card, I stamped the Wild Flower Doodle images using Altenew – Obsidian Pigment Ink. Then I used the coordinating dies at my Mini Blossom Die Cutting Machine to cut out all the stamped images. After arranging the black outlines, I added a small burgundy bow to the bouquet. I’m getting modern wedding vibes from this card. Add an alcohol ink background or light watercolor wash to suit your recipient’s color palette.

For my last card example using this release, I used the Altenew Artist Markers Set D and Set E to color these beautiful bold floral images. I used a specialty no-outline ink to stamp the images. After adding white splatters to the card, I die cut the Altenew – Thank You Die and only used the ‘you’ portion of the resulting cut cardstock.
