For my first card project, I kept it simple with this adorable mini stamp set. I modeled the Warm Heart Stamp and Die Set image after the Emperor Penguin (Aptenodytes forsteri). While researching the color palettes of the adults and chicks, I stumbled across an image of the chick having a heart on its chest–fitting for this stamp set name and sentiment.

I was having a watercolor moment with this release while testing out a soon to be released product from Altenew. In order to balance and mirror the wavy and bubbly illustration of these blooms and foliage, I opted for a loose watercolor feel with a lot of texture. I kept the arrangement simple yet bold with some added gold embellishments.

For my last card, I made a clean and simple scene. To be honest, I have a hard time with creature stamp sets. However, I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to build and color this scene. I hope to share my secrets to success on a scene card in a future Perfect Pairings with Jaycee!
