Altenew Build-A-Flower: Coneflower Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hey everyone, welcome back! It’s the first of the month, which means I’m so excited to join Altenew for the brand new April 2021 Build-a-Flower: Coneflower (ALT) and Blog Hop! Build-a-Flower: Coneflower Release

For my Build-a-Flower: Coneflower project, I started looking for inspiration in my usual spot–Google. I found a variety of flower color combinations that I wanted to try on my card. I love the layering images in this stamp set, but I could not resist coloring in the outline images myself. That is what I appreciate about these Build-a-Flower sets; there is a magnitude of possibilities.

I started with a no-outline hybrid ink. There are plenty on the market that leave a faint impression on your paper so that you can use any wet medium over it without the image showing up on the final card. I have my favorite linked in the materials section for alcohol based markers.

After stamping the outline images in the Coneflower stamp set, I colored all the images with a mixture of all my Altenew Artist Markers. I die cut all the images after coloring and arranged it on my background. I made a quick background using the large ink blending tool and a yellow ink. Then finally I added splatters to the background and stamped the sentiment included on the Coneflower stamp set.
