Paint-a-Flower: White Swan Echinacea

I modeled my White Swan Echinacea (Echinacea purpurea ‘White Swan’) coloring from reference images online. I could not resist the beautiful white petals and I had to include them into my arrangement. My chosen medium for this coloring project was a high quality colored pencil.

I stamped the coneflower images in Limestone Crisp Dye Ink. After testing this ink on Neenah Desert Storm 80lb cardstock, I noticed the ink dries and nearly disappears on the canvas. I used this to my advantage for a no-outline colored pencil coloring card.

After coloring this image with Faber-Castell Polychromos Pencils, I added embellishments with diluted Limestone ink. I finished this card with one of the coordinating sentiments in Paint-a-Flower: White Swan Echinacea Outline Stamp Set. I stamped it in the same Limestone Crisp Ink.
