Hey everyone, welcome back! I’m so excited to help Hero Arts celebrate the Holiday 2023 Catalog with a HUGE Blog Hop! Are you looking for some creative ways to add gold and shimmer to your holiday card stash? I have two card examples with easy and elegant embellishments just in time to inspire your autumn and winter crafts!

There are tons of inspiration from my crafting friends at the blog hop list below. Don’t miss the wonderful giveaway opportunities as well–more on that down below.

Poinsettia Window and Season’s Greetings Foil & Cut

This card features the Color Layering Poinsettia Window Stencils paired with the Poinsettia Window Fancy Die. This pairing makes a partial cut, embossed, and window panel. Then use the beautiful layering stencil to add precise and effortless pops of color. I used my favorite Altenew inks to color this panel.

I added the sentiment with the Season’s Greetings Foil & Cut. The gold foil sentiment is simply elegant and perfectly anchors the poinsettia wreath. I embellished this card with gold metallic splatters and similarly colored sequins for this rustic and romantic holiday card.

Grateful Pumpkin

The Grateful Pumpkin Bundle was such a popular item in a previous Hero Arts release, it had to have an encore in the Holiday 2023 Catalog. I used my collection of alcohol based markers to color the images in this bundle. Then I gold heat embossed the outlines for shimmer and shine.

To further embellish this card with gold, I added metallic splatters and sequins as in the previous card. Then I white heat embossed the sentiment in Grateful Pumpkin Bundle on a gold metallic cardstock. To balance all the shimmer, I left large areas of white exposed in the background to give the eyes a place to rest against all the shine.
