‘Bold & Beautiful’ August 2022 Stamp Collection
Luminous and Linear

Hands down my favorite Altenew stamp category are the geometric sets. This NEW Linear Spiral Stamp Set is no exception. I mixed white heat embossed fussy cuts in different cardstock colors and shiny finishes to make this warm color palette. This card was so fun to assemble. I love the fragmented and stained glass feel of this card.
How to Make This Card
- Start with white heat embossed panels of the spiral image. I used Brushed Copper, Brushed Rose, and a blush colored cardstock. The metallic cardstock comes from the Fine & Dandy Metallic Cardstock Bundle.
- On the blush, white heat embossed cardstock panel, randomly color some of the lines with the white gel pen in the Must Have Gel Pen Set.
- Cut apart the major triangles of the Linear Spiral Stamp Set images in all three cardstock panels.
- Arrange the pieces in a repeating pattern and glue to a card base.
- Finish the card with a two tone sentiment, metallic thread, and enamel dots.

Distinguished ‘Dazzling Dahlia’

I added a Dahlia to my home garden right before I experienced a heat wave in my home state. Sadly, I do not have a picture of her coloration, so her actual color lives in my memory. However, I remember the last standing beautiful bloom before I lost all of her foliage. This card is my attempt to remember what her dazzling coloration.
How to Make This Card
- On alcohol friendly smooth white cardstock, stamp all the floral and foliage images from Dazzling Dahlia Stamp Set in Permanent Black Crisp Dye Ink.
- Color a single Dahlia bloom. I used the colors in English Country Garden Artist Alcohol Markers Set C to color my single bloom.
- Use the coordinating die cuts to cut and arrange the Dahlia bouquet.
- Finish the card with Jet Black Ink Spray splatters.

Love your use of the geometric background. For some reason it reminds me of men’s oxford striped shirts which I happen to like a lot. You really put together a wonderful color palette. Your dahlia is also beautifully colored.

Your cards are always an inspiration. Great use of linear spiral background, and love it when coloring one piece of stamped image as you have done with the floral card. This certainly has been a dry summer and a detriment to all the beautiful gardens. Thanks for sharing.
