September 2019 Nesting Basics Bundle 1 Waffle Flower

Recently I got the opportunity to talk to Nina of Waffle Flower. The brand has been on my shopping list for a long time, notably for their watercolor swatching series of products. I am grateful to have received some products to try for this release. Since I made a card for this release, I thought I would film the process of this flower cluster colored card. The Waffle Flower – Poppy Hawthorn features beautiful florals by illustrator Karla Jodoin (stamp, die, combo), so of course, I couldn’t resist to make this my first project for Waffle Flower.

I love the way the flowers seem to rotate around the center of the card without making it look deliberate like a wreath. I debated for a while on how to place the sentiment on this project, but I’m glad I placed it off center to balance the entire card front. The details in the illustration from Karla made it so easy to color the flowers with minimal effort–I could see myself using this stamp set again for my personal stash of cards.
